Indica Strain Description

Cannabis Indica is one of the two main types of cannabis, the other being Cannabis Sativa. Originating from the mountainous regions of Afghanistan, Pakistan, and India, Indica plants have adapted to harsh climates and first-time weather conditions by growing faster, flowering earlier, and producing thick layers of protective resin.

Physical Characteristics: Indica plants are known for their short, dense stature and broad leaves. They also have a quicker flowering time compared to Sativa plants. Some Indica strains can turn purple in color when exposed to colder temperatures.

Effects: Indica strains are known for producing a “body high,” leaving you physically relaxed and even sleepy. Marijuana enthusiasts often describe it as producing a feel of being “couch locked,” and use the phrase “in-da-couch” to remember that Indica effects are best enjoyed on the couch¹. Most people prefer Indica effects in the evening.
